Sarah + Scott – San Ramon Chapel + Dana Powers Barn

Where do I even start? First off I should say I have been looking forward to photographing this wedding since December, no joke. Sarah is part of an amazing family that I just happened to have been welcomed into so when they selected me as their photographer I was jump up and down excited. Sarah is my step son Ezrah’s aunt so going into this wedding I knew that I would be surrounded by some super sweet and loving people who I also just happened to know. Not only was I there as a photographer but my husband and daughter were there as guests not to mention Ez was a groomsmen and his mom was an awesome maid of honor. So there is a little back story to why I was so stinkin excited for this day to come.

Now onto to the couple of the day, Sarah + Scott. This couple just happens to be two of the nicest people you will come across, honestly. It is no wonder why they are so drawn to each other. They both have this calming effect on people around them… which is so odd to say when your dealing with a wedding.icon smile Sarah + Scott San Ramon Chapel + Dana Powers BarnThey started the wedding festivities a day prior to the wedding with golfing for the guys and a fun mani + pedi party for the ladies. I stopped by for a few hours to get some shots of the girls hanging out before the “big day”. The day of I met up with Sarah bright and early and we headed to San Luis Obispo to the amazing Faces A La Mode for a little make-up action. Lisa the maid of honor (and sis) also happens to be an amazing stylist so she also had her hair done at the salon and later she did the rest of the bridal party hair. We then headed to Sarah’s childhood home to finish the getting ready process and then it was off to the super sweet San Ramon Chapel in Sisquoc to become Mr. + Mrs. Yay! Then on to the Dana Powers Barn to finish the party and what a party is was! After toasts started Sarah was surprised by something her dad and longtime family friend had been cooking up… you will have to check out the pictures for her reaction when her mom is giving her a little hint to the surprise (the families used to camp together and the dads would always sing a song and later teased that they would sing it for Sarah the day she got married, little did she know they were serious).

Warning – this is a long post… get comfy in your chair!
