Why hello there. Thanks for stopping by. I’m Jen. I started my photography business in 2006 as a portrait photographer and about a year later shot my very first wedding as a 2nd photographer. Never did I realize that my love for photography and my odd obsession with all things wedding could combine into the all time best career, a wedding photographer. After that first wedding I was hooked and I have never looked back. I have been capturing amazing days ever since. When I’m not snapping away I’m holding down the fort filled with my handsome hubby, 3 kiddos and 4 dogs. Yes, we have a very full house!
Besides loving all things weddings + photography I am also addicted to chocolate, old barns, open fields, golden sunsets and snowboarding (it’s my therapy).

Where are you located?
I am located on the gorgeous California central coast in Santa Maria, CA . (About 30 minutes south of San Luis Obispo or an hour north of Santa Barbara)
Do you travel?
Most definitely! I adore new locations and venues and love the opportunity to travel. Just let me know where and I’ll pack my bags.
What is your pricing?
Wedding coverage beginning at $2850. Portrait sessions start at $150.

What would you say your style of photography is?
I can’t give a one word answer for this because my style evolves throughout your wedding day. While your getting ready and that nervous excitement and anticipation is in the air I will be a fly on the wall capturing the action in a photojournalistic way. I don’t want to disrupt anything that is going on and I let things happen naturally. As we move into portraits I am a little more hands on making sure we get those great bridal party pictures and family pictures. Bride and Groom portraits are a great mix of fun, relaxed, natural portraits with a little direction and lots of snuggling. By the time the reception rolls around I change gears and get right into the mix. While the music is playing I will be snapping to the beat on the middle of the dance floor capturing all of the fun from up close! So as you can see I am a mix of a whole bunch of styles and what that equals to is a great mix of photographs that will tell the story of your day in a unique and complete way.
Do you work with an assistant or 2nd photographer?
Depends. I do offer a basic collection that includes just myself as the photographer for smaller more intimate weddings however the majority of the collections offered do include a 2nd photographer.
How do I book your services?
To reserve your wedding photography a signed contract and deposit are required. To start the booking process complete the contact form or email me. Jen@jen-rodriguez.com.
How much is the deposit?
1/3 of your collection price is due to reserve your wedding day photography. The 2nd 1/3 payment is due at the mid point of your booking date and wedding date. The final 1/3 payment is due by your wedding date.
Will we get copies of the images ?
Yes! I feel strongly that if you are hiring a photographer that you probably want some photographs right? Right! So every collection will include a disc with your hi-resolution images plus a print release. This means you can take your disc to Target, Costco, Walmart or wherever and you can have prints made to fill your home with all of your awesome images.
How long will it take to see our pictures?
It takes about 4 weeks to go through each and every image and do all of my magic. When your images are all ready they will be uploaded into your personal password protected viewing gallery. Shortly after your gallery goes up your disc will be mailed to you.
What type of albums do you offer?
I am so proud to say I offer Red Tree Albums. The most beautiful, hand crafted flush mount wedding albums you have seen that with fabulous images printed by my favorite lab prodpi. Each album includes your choice of fabric or leather cover, front cover image (cameo cut out), up to 2 lines of embossing and 20 layouts. Duplicate parent albums are also available.
